Instructions
to Authors:
The
work of the editor will be greatly facilitated if authors to the following
instructions: -
Manuscripts must
be written English with an Arabic summary and sent to the Editor-in-Chief,
Yemeni Journal of Science, Amran Road, P.O. Box 11632, Sana’a, Republic of
Yemen.
Submission of a
manuscript implies that it been approved by the named authors, that it
reports their unpublished work, and that it is not sent for publication
elsewhere.
Manuscripts should
not exceed 25 (A4) pages including figures and tables, produced using
Microsoft word, version 6 or above, with Times New Roman font 12”. They
should be typewritten in double spacing on A4 paper and submitted in
duplicate, and on a 3.5 floppy disc. The file on the disc should exactly
correspond to the hard copy.
Authors should, as
for as possible, adhere to the following format:

Title
page, headed by a
concise but informative full title, name(s) and address of the institute
where the work was carried out.

Summary,
containing brief but informative details of the contents, and
conclusions of the paper and should not exceed 200 words.

Introduction,
stating the reasons for carrying out the work
-
Materials
and Methods, containing sufficient experimental details so that methods
can be reproduced by researchers (in experimental papers).

Results
should be described as concise as possible and the use of tables and
figures to present the same date should be avoided.

Discussion
should not recapitulate results in detail or contain new information but
should emphasize the relevance and significance of the findings
reported.

Acknowledgement.
-
References.
Correct references of the responsibility of the author. The
Harvard system should, as far as possible, be used for the
citation of references in the text as following: Salim & Ali (1999)
or (Salim &Ali, 1999).Where there are more than two authors the
citation should be in the form Ali et al. (1999) or (Ali et al
1999). When
several papers by the same author (s) have been published in the same year
they should be cited as Ali (1999a,b). Unpublished work
used in the paper can be cited as “unpublished” or “personal
communication”.
Citation of papers “in press” or “pre-print” is
acceptable. At the end of the paper references must be listed in
alphabetical order of authors’ names. Both the title of the paper and
of the journal should be given in full according to the following style:

Currently,
articles accepted for publication are not subject to any charge. The
corresponding author will receive one copy of the journal issue containing
the plus 10 reprints at no charge.
Refereeing;
All
submitted manuscripts are internationally refereed. Currently, manuscripts
are refereed through lowa State University, USA. This is done through an
agreement with the International Institute of Theoretical and Applied
Physics IITAP. ISU.

Price
per single issue is equivalent to $3.00. Information on long term subscription rate and air freight are to be obtained
by contacting the editors at the above address.
Permission
is granted to quote from the journal with the customary acknowledgement of
the soirce.
