THE SCIENCE CONFERENCE 2004

Under the auspices of His Excellency President Ali Abdullah Saleh, the President of the Republic of Yemen, President of the Yemeni Scientific Research Foundation (YSRF) Board of Founders, the Science Conference 2004 took place in Sana’a city during the period of 11 to 13 October 2004.

In these three days, more then 200 papers and posters were presented by more than 500 authors and co-author. The papers and posters covered the topics of the conference in both basic and applied sciences. The papers were distributed among 22 parallel and plenary sessions. The conference hosted five scientific events, these were:

1- Second scientific symposium of the Yemeni Biological Society.
2- First national symposium on prevention of blindness.
3- Second scientific conference of Yemeni Diabetes Society.
4- The foundation meeting for the National Renewable Energy Society.
5- Introductory Symposium for genetically-modified organisms
