Dedication

The Organizing Committee of the Science Conference 2002 is dedicating its work of this year’s conference to the memory of Dr. Ahmed Dhaifallah, member of the YSRF Board of Directors.  Dr. Dhaifallah was a member of the organizing committee. He oversaw the medical manuscripts for the conferences. We at the YSRF have always appreciated Dr. Dhaifalla’s scientific capabilities as a significant figure in his field. Besides the fact that he was an active scientist with many publications, Dr. Dhaifalla has played an important role in the national efforts to push forward science in Yemen.  As a cardiologist, he has touched many hearts with, not only his professional care, but also human side.  Dr. Dhaifalla was also known for his genuine human values which were reflected by the effects he left on everyone who came in contact with him.  He was loved, respected and appreciated everywhere he went.  His sense of humor was a trademark of his great personality. We at YSRF as well as elsewhere believe that his absence is a great loss to science in Yemen.  For Years to come, Dr. Dhaifalla will always be remembered as a scientist, colleague, friend and brother who has gone and left us astray.
